During November 2011- February 2012 EMC evaluated the results achieved through the Local &Economic Development (LRED) intervention in Shida Kartli, Georgia program funded by GIZ/BMZ. The main objective of the evaluation of "Local & Economic Development (LRED) intervention in Shida Kartli that is a 3rd component of GIZ-PSDP Georgia Private Sector Development implemented by German - company GOPA, was to assess the results of the project implementation in relation to the achievement of its overall objective as defined in the 5 indicators; to evaluate overall relevance of the project's goals and results to the existing needs; to assess the effectiveness of undertaken activities and the impact funded by GIZ and the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). In addition to the main objectives of the evaluation specified above, the evaluation looked at the findings and lessons learnt. Based on the Evaluation exercise, the evaluation made the recommendations important for designing the continuation of the evaluated project and also for implementing the similar projects in future in other parts of Georgia or other countries of Caucasian region.

EMC Workshop in Frankfurt and Main, Germany

Project Cycle, Monitoring and Evaluation

On March 22, 2018 EMC is organizing one-day workshop in Frankfurt, Germany on the topic Project Cycle, Monitoring and Evaluation. EMC’s President Nino Saakashvili will conduct the workshop.Workshop will provide an overview of results-based management including result based project management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) with an emphasis of tools and methods for successfully managing the projects and achieving its objectives. The workshop will cover fundamental concepts of project management, methods of project Monitoring & Evaluation, results measurement indicators and frameworks. Also, evaluation processes including evaluation planning, collecting and analyzing data, developing evaluation report and communicating results.
