EMC based on the contract with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) evaluated the EU funded project implemented by the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic - "Support Reintegration of Georgian Returning Migrants and the Implementation of EU-Georgia Readmission Agreement" - Targeted Initiative for Georgia (TIG). The Evaluation started in July 2012 and ended in September 2012.

The TIG project was implemented by the Ministry of Czech Republic in partnership with 9 EU Members States government institutions working on migration issues. These states are: Belgium, Italy, Romania, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Poland.

The goal of the midterm evaluation of the TIG project was to analyse the general outcomes, implementation process and achievement of the project regarding 3 components of the project: 1) Capacity building Reintegration Assistance Management and Policy Development; 2) Capacity Building (of migrants); 3) Info Campaign. The evaluation will be based on 4 main criteria: Relevance, Effectiveness, Efficiency and Sustainability.

The overall objective of the TIG project was to contribute to promotion of legal migration, prevention of illegal migration and enhancement of return and reintegration assistance programmes. EU TIG Project is planned to be completed by the end of 2013.

EMC Workshop in Frankfurt and Main, Germany

Project Cycle, Monitoring and Evaluation

On March 22, 2018 EMC is organizing one-day workshop in Frankfurt, Germany on the topic Project Cycle, Monitoring and Evaluation. EMC’s President Nino Saakashvili will conduct the workshop.Workshop will provide an overview of results-based management including result based project management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) with an emphasis of tools and methods for successfully managing the projects and achieving its objectives. The workshop will cover fundamental concepts of project management, methods of project Monitoring & Evaluation, results measurement indicators and frameworks. Also, evaluation processes including evaluation planning, collecting and analyzing data, developing evaluation report and communicating results.
